Putu Piring
S-11 Coffeeshop, Blk 12 Haig RoadThis place serves one of my favourite kueh kueh (Malay cakes). Putu piring is a steamed rice cake with a gula melaka (palm sugar) filling. When eaten freshly made, with fresh shredded coconut, the steaming hot rice cake and palm sugar practically melts in your mouth and the amalgamating flavours … to die for. The price, a very affordable S$1 (US$0.60) for three. But do come early, there is almost always a line at this stall.

What you mean by early? in morning or noon? What time they sell out.. hard to find leh.. think if I should get some gula malaka with me when I move...

They open from 2pm till 9pm or when the food runs out. c.
